political fashion hacks

Why do women in politics dress the same? The skirt suit and matching necklace earring set seems to be standard garb. Coco must have laughed to herself when she realized that no one else had a creative bone in their body to design anything as pioneering as her suit or to challenge it. Truly in France they're just more creative fashionwise. Every year American stores sell the same thing at various seasons. The twin sweater set, the quilt jacket, the ... it's all prefixed with 'the' - like a natural thought or an archeological find - like the Mountain or the sea. The general populace is handicapped creatively so everyone walks around with LV, C, CC, G or F handbags and purses (pocketbooks for the old fogies) just so they could say "I just blew 1500 bucks for someone's name to be on my bag". Not that I'd say no to someone giving me one as a gift. I'd wear it once - to appease to giver then hurry off to Ebay for resale value and buy me a cuter bag for less. Sure I don't object to quality but really is quality really worth thousands of dollars? It then boils down to who is controlling resources because if there was more access to the crude material these items wouldn't cost so much. I read an article recently about waste and how rich American waste is. Well that's obvious! How often have we thrown away an unfinished meal or an out of season dress (tags intact). But not just that but the fact that poorer countries reuse objects in more ways than Americans like turning plastic bottles into plant containers. Seriously we here don't think about what happens to things we throw away yet we try to be "green" in other ways. At the end of it all will the effort be worth it? I say no we can't reverse the damage done. I just think it's cool that the people in those countries are so creative to think of ways to live simply and effortlessly and they're probably not conscientiously thinking about their carbon footprint. Creativity and variety is just too limited here and so it's not surprising that no one has a problem watching the same sports teams every year playing the same games, participating in the same rituals, wearing the same clothes, talking about the same politics where the people are wearing the same clothes like drones. All so boring!
